Dr. Lashitew Gedamu - Molecular Biology of Leishmania: Functional studies and stage specific regulation of genes involved in Leishmania survival and pathogenesis. Evaluation of Leishmania Vaccine Candidate Genes. Dr. Doug Morck - Veterinary medicine; ruminant infectious diseases; Biofilms.
Dr. Lisa Gieg - Anaerobic hydrocarbon metabolism, bioremediation, enhanced energy recovery, molecular biology/ecology of hydrocarbon resource environments, biotechnological applications in petroleum industry Dr. Doug Storey - Molecular biology, pathogenesis, and genetics of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Dr. Joe Harrison - Microbial population biology, biofilm microbiology, bacterial genetics and genomics, cyclic-di-GMP signalling, antibiotic and metal resistance, chronic infectious diseases Dr. Raymond J. Turner - Metal resistance in Bacteria. Private molecular chaperones for the Tat-Translocase. Integral membrane protein structure and folding. Fluorescence spectroscopy.
Dr. Casey Hubert - Particular research interests include extremophiles (anaerobic thermophiles) such as dormant thermophilic bacteria in permanently cold Arctic marine sediments that appear to derive from deep hot petroleum deposits. Dr. Gerrit Voordouw - Molecular biology and genomics of the sulfate-reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio vulgaris. Characterization of microbial communities catalysing the oil field sulfur cycle by molecular biology methods.
Mr. William Huddleston - Undergraduate student learning and laboratory development. Dr. Sui-Lam Wong - Gene expression, protein engineering and protein secretion in Bacillus subtilis.
