AIHS Summer Studentships offer students registered in an Alberta-based undergraduate program, the opportunity to participate in medical or health research in Alberta during the summer months. The award is meant to encourage students to consider pursuing formal training and a career in health research. PURE (Programs for Undergraduate Research Experience)

NSERC Industrial Undergrad Student Research Awards
Students can gain research work experience in a non-university setting that complements their studies. Industrial USRAs are tenable only in the R&D facilities of eligible organizations in Canada. American Physiology Society Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships
The intent of this program is to excite and encourage students to pursue a career as a basic research scientist. Biochemical Society Summer Vacation Studentships
The Biochemical Society offers studentship funding for 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate students to spend their summer working in a molecular bioscience research lab. Genes and Development Summer Studentships
Grants of up to £3,000 are available to provide financial support for undergraduate students interested in gaining research experience in any area of genetics by carrying out a research project over the long vacation, usually prior to their final year. CIHR Training Program Summer Studentships
Candidates are eligible to apply for the CIHR Training Program Summer Studentship support if they have secured a training position with a supervisor who is a member of the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute for Child and Maternal Health (ACHRI).
