BIOL 315 - Quantitative Biology I - Fall 2011

Data collection, presentation and analysis in the biological sciences. Basic design of biological experiments including concepts of control, replication, and interspersion. Analysis of biological data will include tests of statistical hypotheses and estimation techniques.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • Biology 315 is a prerequisite for several Ecology courses offered by the department. Students are urged to complete this course in their second year to ensure timely completion of the program.Enrolment in this course may be limited.   • Biology 233 or 241, and one of Applied Mathematics 217, Mathematics 249, 251, or 281
